Hittin' the Ground Runnin'

I love getting jumpstarts such as these in the mornings; makes me feel real important, busy, and most of all, productive. Nebraska hall went down today, not sure why both subnets were down tho. They have different uplinks. Looks like one was due to a bad repeater for the fiber connection, but the other one, we're not sure yet. Have 2 technicians dispatched. I'd have gone myself, but i forgot my &*$% tools at a friend's.

What really sucks about this is that since my work machine/server JUST died last night at work, not only do i not have pics up, I can't do any work cuz i forgot my laptop of all things at my friend's. Have to bum off the operators' machine here in the control room until then.

*sigh* and now my new zip-away cargo pants/shorts are too hot. wah.

Walkin' in Circles with my Thumb up my Ass

ugh. i guess this is why i want to start a work-blog. This is just ridiculous. having to go around again with Pepco when I just went around doing the same damn thing last week w/ Starpower; isn't there any way to go about this in a more efficient manner? well, if i can get one of my co-workers to take the guy around for me later, i may be satiated. but damn, until then, i'm doing nothing but watch him change fiber panel bulkheads. hoowee.
